Retired State Police (RPSPP) Information
The Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF) administers the RPSPP on behalf of the Commonwealth. The RPSPP includes the following coverage:
Medical ‐ Coverage provided Highmark Blue Shield
- Retired State Police members who were hired prior to April 21, 2005 may choose between the PPOBlue or Traditional ClassicBlue medical plans
- Retired State Police members who were hired on or after April 21, 2005 can only be enrolled in PPOBlue
Dental (Members who retired prior to July 1, 1974 do not receive dental benefits) ‐ Coverage provided by United Concordia Inc. (UCCI)
Prescription Drug
- Retired State Police members who retired prior to July 1, 1995 will have prescription drug coverage provided by CVS Caremark
- Retired State Police members who retired on or after July 1, 1995 will have prescription drug coverage provided by Express-Scripts, Inc. (ESI)
